Beyonce Knowles and Jay Z have enrolled their daughter Blue Ivy in school as they put down roots in Los Angeles.
The couple, who have long called New York home, are said to have made the decision to move to the West Coast on the advice of one very famous friend.
According to Us Weekly, Gwyneth Paltrow helped sway her pals, and three-year-old Blue may even end up going to the same prestigious school as the Oscar-winning actress's own children, Apple, ten, and Moses, eight.
'Beyonce and Jay Z are making LA their permanent home based a lot on the advice of their friends. The friend that really influenced them to move was Gwyneth Paltrow,' a source told the magazine. 'Gwyneth was telling Jay and Bey about the quality of life for her kids in LA and really swayed Beyonce and Jay to make the move. It's all for Blue Ivy.'
As TMZ reports, the power couple have already enrolled their tot in an elite private school, which charges a staggering $15,080 per year in tuition.
While it is said to usually only accept new students at the beginning of the school year, bosses apparently made an exception for the youngster.
While the 33-year-old singer and her 45-year-old rap star husband reportedly spent the summer staying in a $200,000-per-month rental property in Beverly Hills, they are currently holed up at a nearby hotel while they continue to search for the perfect new digs to call home.
They've reportedly narrowed their search to the exclusive enclaves of Bel-Air, Holmby Hills and Beverly Hills.
Late last year the pair were outbid on their $70 million dream home in the same neighbourhood by Minecraft creator Markus 'Notch' Persson.
It's a busy time for Beyonce, who is gearing up to perform at the Grammy Awards this weekend. She's sing Take My Hand Precious Lord before taking to the stage alongside John Legend and Common for a version of their Oscar-nominated track Glory.
