LeAnn Rimes is reportedly desperate for a child.

The 32-year-old country music singer has been married to Sunset Beach actor Eddie Cibrian for three years and is stepmother to his two sons, Mason and Jake. Now it's claimed she's seeking fertility treatment to increase her chances of conceiving her own.

'She really wants a baby,' a source told InTouch magazine.

It's thought that LeAnn has naturally low chances of becoming pregnant on her own due to egg production and hormone issues. She's apparently been making visits to a doctor in Santa Monica, California to seek IVF treatment.

'She feels like this is her only shot of having a child of her own,' the insider went on.

LeAnn was previously married to dancer Dean Sheremet, and Eddie to reality star Brandi Glanville. LeAnn then married Eddie in 2011, not long after they each divorced their respective spouses following their highly publicized extra marital affair together. And LeAnn has reportedly been attempting to conceive a child with him since 2013.

'She hasn't been able to conceive a baby on her own after trying for over a year,' according to the source.

It's no secret topic for the loved-up couple of reality stars, who have frequently discussed their desire to have a bigger family together. Speaking to Extra TV's Mario Lopez in November 2013, LeAnn gushed over her eagerness to be a mother.

'We work on it often, but nothing's popped out! I know, sorry. I think about it often. We talk about it,' she laughed, before Eddie piped up and confirmed his wife 'wants a little girl, badly'.
