The pop star tied the knot with actress Ayda Field at their Beverly Hills home on August 7 and thinks .the greatest benefit of having a wife is knowing you have someone to constantly support.

He said: 'Married life is a bit wonderful to be honest, yeah, it really is. Stability and happiness, I'm getting used to it but, you know, it was bound to happen at some point.

'Life feels different, there's like 15 per cent of rubbish that you're carrying round with you, well me anyway, that's just disappeared. It's great being part of a team.'

Just as Robbie is enjoying the support he gets from Ayda, he admits it is great being back with his Take That bandmates ' Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald.

The reunited members have recorded a new album, 'Progress' ' their first as a five-piece since 1995's 'Nobody Else' ' and the 36-year-old singer has had such a great time he is keen to stay in the band.

Speaking on British station BBC Radio 1, Robbie ' who walked out on the band shortly after 'Nobody Else' was released to pursue a solo career ' said: ''m not really sure how long it's going to last to be honest. We had a lovely band meeting the other day ' which lasted a couple of hours and you scratch your beard and talk through how you're feeling with things. And I was thinking, 'I want to do this again,' but we'll see. Who knows? We're free to do whatever we want, only time will tell.'
