Prince made his first appearance on Saturday Night Live since 2006 last night and, in an unprecedented move, the show let him do one, long, eight minute performance rather than the two segments normally used.

Prince used the opportunity to play three new songs from his latest albums:

Clouds (Art Official Age, 2014)
Marz (from Plectrumelectrum, 2014)
Anotherlove (from Plectrumelectrum, 2014)

Host Chris Rock's singular request was for Prince to be the musical guest for his return to SNL as host after 18 years. It is the second time he will host the show.

The two made the announcement via a press release on October 14 with a photo of Rock dressed as Prince from the film Grown Ups 2.
