Britney Spears is reportedly "smitten" with one of her backing dancers.

The 32-year-old star has had a turbulent couple of months, splitting from her boyfriend of 18 months, David Lucado, in August, amid claims he had been unfaithful. It's thought his antics were caught on camera, with Britney's father and conservator Jamie purchasing the tape to save his daughter from being embarrassed.

But things appear to be looking up for the singer, as she is said to be growing close to Willie Gomez. The hunky dancer is reportedly helping Britney move on from her break-up and the pair met last December when she began her two-year residency in Las Vegas.

"They were just friends at the start because she was with David, but they've always been close and now it's turned into romance," a source told British magazine Closer. "They've been dating for a few weeks and Britney says they have the best foundations for a lasting relationship because they were such good friends before."

The blonde beauty is allegedly keen to take things slow with her rumoured new beau. She also has relationships with ex-fiancé Jason Trawrick and ex-husband Kevin Federline, who she has two sons with, behind her. Despite David reportedly pining for his former girlfriend, Britney is believed to be enjoying time with Willie.

"She's saying she's completely smitten. She puts on a professional front when they're working, but behind the scenes they're really relaxed together. Willie has already met [sons] Sean and Jayden backstage at her show and they've hung out playing video games," the insider added. "But Britney wants to keep the romance low-key for the next few months."
