Prince in rent deposit lawsuit
Prince has been caught up in a lawsuit over an unreturned house deposit.

The singer was renting a £100,000 ($150,000)-a-month house in Los Angeles and forgot to collect his £200,000 ($300,000) security deposit when he left.

Now, according to legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, property agents 3121 Rep Inc., the company which brokered the lease for Prince, filed a lawsuit two months ago suing the owners of the house in an attempt to get the money back.

But the homeowners have insisted they give the money straight back to Prince, and said the superstar made all the payments himself and that 3121 was just a third party in the arrangements.

The two sides are now suing each other, with 3121 demanding the £200,000 ($300,000), while the owners of the L.A. property want their lawyer's fees paying.
