I'm stressing less after son's birth

The 24-year-old singer welcomed her first child with partner Simon Konecki in October.

The singer was fighting sleep on the Grammy Awards red carpet in Los Angeles Sunday night after getting up early to take care of her baby.

'I've been up since 6 a.m. so I'm quite tired, but it's nice,' she told People.com.

It's clear Adele is reveling in being a new mom and she admitted another upside to having a baby to care for. She wasn't nervous about whether or not she would be taking home any awards.

'I haven't been as stressed out. In life you have to prioritise what you stress about and worry about when you have a child,' she explained.

Adele also warned fans not to expect much from her in the way of new music in the immediate future.

The singer co-wrote and recorded the title track for the latest James Bond film Skyfall but since then she says she's been 'out of the loop' in the music industry.

'I've been singing baby nursery rhymes so I don't really know what's cool and what's not,' she mused.

In the end, Adele did come out a winner on Grammy night.

She took home the prize for best pop solo performance for her hit single Set Fire to the Rain.

Also nominated in the category were Kelly Clarkson (Stronger), Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe), Katy Perry (Wide Awake) and Rihanna (Where Have You Been).

Skyfall also won the gong for best original music at the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards in London on Sunday night.
