The 'Underneath Your Clothes' hitmaker posted a picture of them together on her twitter page yesterday (29.03.11), finally ending months of speculation she is romancing the sportsman.

She wrote underneath the picture "Les presento a mi sol," which translates from Spanish as ' present to you my sunshine.'

The picture shows the couple with the sun setting behind them, with Gerard's arms wrapped around the Columbian beauty.

Rumours the singer had started dating the FC Barcelona player started after Gerard ' who, at 24, is 10 years younger than Shakira - posted pictures of them partying together for his birthday in February.

The couple are said to have first met when Shakira was shooting the video for her song 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Both Shakira and Gerard have repeatedly denied they were seeing each other, with him playing down romance reports recently.

He said: 'We're just friends. There's nothing more to it.'

At the beginning of this year, Shakira confirmed she had ended her 11-year relationship with lawyer Antonio de la Rua, 37, amidst speculation he had cheated on her.
