Guus Meeuwis (Mariahout, 23 March 1972) is a Dutch singer and songwriter. As a student he formed a band in Tilburg, called "Vagant," named after the café they used for rehearsals. In 1995, "Het is een Nacht" (It is a Night) became their first hit single, released under the name "Guus Meeuwis & Vagant." Later more hits followed.
At the end of 2001 the group decided to split and Meeuwis successfully continued on a solo career. He scored another hit with "Geef mij je Angst" (Give me your Fear) and his song Brabant has become a classic song in the Netherlands.
